Alarko Carrier's "Changing the Atmosphere of Schools" Project Returned with an Award from Brandverse Awards

Alarko Carrier, which transformed its air conditioning expertise into a charity movement, won the Bronze award in the Social Responsibility and Sustainability main section, “Sustainable Cities and Living Spaces” category at the Brandverse Awards 2024 with its “Schools’ Air is Changing” project.

Alarko Carrier’s “Schools’ Air is Changing” project, which was implemented in 2023 to draw attention to the effects of air conditioning on children’s development and education life and to support education, returned with an award from the Brandverse Awards 2024. Alarko Carrier Corporate Communications and Digital Channel Manager Hüdai Öztürk and Artı PR board member Juliet Demircioğlu received the award together at the award ceremony held at Hilton İstanbul Bomonti Hotel on June 24, 2024. Öztürk, who stated that they were very happy that the project was deemed worthy of an award, said the following in his statement: "Our Schools' Air is Changing Project is an important reflection of our sustainability vision. It is a source of pride that our project, which aims to draw attention to the effects of air conditioning on children's development and education, also received full marks from the jury. This award we received at the Brandverse Awards is of great importance in terms of showing the impact of our project and its sustainability."

The School Air is Changing Project

Alarko Carrier, which has transformed its air conditioning expertise into a charity project by saying ‘Everyone Has the Right to Clean Air’, has installed a high-tech system consisting of a heat pump, heat recovery device, fan coil, air purifier, circulation pump and photovoltaic panel in the primary school of Mardin’s Çaldere Village, which was heated with a coal stove in 2023. The school, where the heating and cooling needs in the classrooms have started to be provided with heat pump technology, has also started to produce its own electricity. The project, which was implemented to draw attention to the effects of air conditioning on children’s development and education life and to support education, is aimed to be implemented in different provinces where climate conditions are difficult and to be spread throughout Türkiye.
