Hasta Bina Sendromu (HBS) ile meydana gelebilecek belirtiler üst solunum yollarında irritasyon, baş ağrısı, yorgunluk ve deri döküntüsü olarak sıralanabilir. Hasta Bina Sendromu'nun ortaya çıkmasındaki temel faktörler hijyen koşullarının optimum seviyede olmaması ve kış aylarında binaların yeterince havalandırılmaması şeklinde ifade edilebilir. "Plaza hastalığı" olarak da bilinen Hasta Bina Sendoromu binada yaşayan ya da çalışan kişilerde görülebilir.
